TOUCH BIONICS i-LIMB HAND

The Scottish Touch Bionics company developed a new generation bionic hand prosthesis. The prosthesis is called i-LIMB System.
This special hand prosthesis is the first device in the world which offers such solutions to the patient, that nearly all real movements of the human hand can be implemented.
Our orthopaedic technicians has been prepared by Touch Bionics to adapt the special hand.

| Unlike the previous hand prostheses, the benefits of the new system: |

- Each finger is moved separately by an engine.
- It doesn't squeeze, but refined sensors make the prosthesis able to keep a glass or grape. During a handshake, patient doesn't have to fear, that it will be too strong.
- Speed of handle and deflexion can be set.
- Strenght of handle can be set.
- Thumb can be set, not only flexion but opposition is performable as well, so it is possible to compass things, but soft handling or picking is also solvable.
- It follows the shape of a real hand.
- Thanks to the modular construction fingers can be changed separately.
- Usage of the prosthesis can be learnt quickly
- Can be adapted to an exist prosthesis.
The prosthesis is available with individual cosmetic covering, witch is identical in color, skin and fingerprint properties with the patients hand.
