In some cases, only an aesthetic replacement is possible if the customer's facilities do not allow any mechanical or electrical control.
Mechanical controlled prostheses can be moved by the shoulder joint with a shoulder belt or metal bovden assistance.
The electric-controlled upper limb prostheses can sense the contraction of the muscles with sensors. These impulses give signal to move the joints. Acquirement of these actions needs a learning process. The electric wheeled prostheses are supplied with a battery. Our company produces a wide range of prostheses, based on several types of construction, mounting and operation.
In the case of defect of lower arm, the following solutions extist:
- passive, only cosmetic supply;
- active mechanical supply;
- active electronic operated supply;
- myoelectric prosthesis.

| After the amputation of the upper part of arm, unfortunately the possibilities are limited. |

In this case a few joints must be recovered and moved.
It needs to solve the movement separately of the hand, wrist, and elbow mechanically or electronicly.
Fixation of the prosthesis is a severe job, because for example at the electric controlled prostheses, it is an indispensable condition to locate the sensors precisely to reach the expected operation. Beyond that the fixation must be capable of bearing the extra loading when shifting.
Last year a new type of electric controlled prostheses came up: the DYNAMIC ARM electric elbow joint. |
